Hi, I am Alice Chambers, publisher and editor of Life In The Ozarks. I started Life In The Ozarks in October 2003. March 2009 was the last print edition out of our office and the online version, or ezine, began. Lu Holeman Poor, friend, editor and writer for Life In The Ozarks took over the print version until March 2010. Lu and I traveled throughout the Ozarks interviewing people who had some interesting stories to tell. We also visited some incredible places and found that there are so many unique places in the Ozarks we would probably never get to visit them all in our lifetimes. There's so many stories left to tell that I have dedicated this website to those stories. The Ozarks Region of Arkansas and Missouri are rich in history, interesting people and places, and great events. The writers who provide these wonderful stories are passionate about sharing them with you. Some of them are authors and you will be able to purchase their books in our online shop, as well as music, art and crafts from right here in the Ozarks, as soon as our shop is online.

"There was never yet an uninteresting life" - Mark Twain
Candlelight   can bring comfort when someone we care about dies, but memories sustain us for a lifetime. Every life is a reservoir of stories. ImaStorycan help you write your own memoir or guide you through interviews with parents or grandparents. Think of it  this way, when a person passes away, it is like a library burning down. Have you  thought about this? ImaStorycan help you capture your life's written journey, your story saved for
future generations.
After presenting a number of life story workshops I discovered if you ask people what they would like to have gotten from their parents and
grandparents the majority would say, “More about their lives.”
Based on the strong interest in legacy writing and the slim number of people who write anything I’ve teamed up with software consultant and we’ve created an interactive program called ImaStory.
Thanks for logging into the website and letting us know what you think of our life story creation. http://imastory.com/

"'Bojangles"
(Cat #1) is a very affectionate, small 1-yr old shorthaired brown tabby. He
craves attention & loves to be petted. A purr-fect pet. Bojangles has his
shots & is neutered. He's just one of many extra nice dogs & cats
available for adoption at the Good Shepherd Animal Shelter, Hwy 62 east of
Eureka Springs, open 12 noon to 5 pm every day but Wed; phone
253-9188.

Thanks a lot for your help. We are getting in lots of homeless animals, & every adoption means a lot.
